FRIDAY NIGHT DOG BLOG - THE CALL OF THE WILD

Dexter has lots of will and ways, so the back fence is not a barrier, especially when some nights he might see possums running along it. There is quite a drop to the neighbours backyard, but that is no problem. When we came back yesterday, Dexter took it upon himself to seek freedom. Maybe, as in the story by Jack London, it was "the call of the wild". However, it is not the wild that concerns us, but all the dangers of civilization. So we had to go walking and driving around the streets. Eventually, he came home, through the back gate, panting and otherwise pleased with himself. Now he has set me a challenge to stop future escapades. No doubt Sasha feels the same call, but not as loudly.

So what's on your mind Dexter?

Sasha might be done with hitch hiking.

A faraway look.

Just looking at the possibilities.

Dexter: close up.

Sasha: Taking it easy.

Standing supreme.

Just at the moment, I'm going nowhere.

Canine gypsies at heart.

Dexter is not a dog that can be taken for granted, whereas Sasha can be relied upon not to run off.

As we have done previously we will seek to board Friday Ark to sail above a sea of troubles with other animals, including dogs and cats.
