FRIDAY NIGHT DOG BLOG - WINTER SOLSTICE

In our household we mark off medication and treatments to dogs on the calendar. That is how I found out that today is the Winter Solstice. I suspect that there should be a pagan festival to mark the event, but perhaps in Northern Europe it would have been too cold to celebrate the shortest day of the year. Time to reflect how important of the rotation of the earth and the moon to life on earth.

We stop at the same place almost everyday, but the dogs are still keenly interested:

Sasha seems at peace:

Dexter looks over the edge:

A rare sight: Let's put our heads together:

Dexter happy to wait while Sasha roams off who knows where:

Sitting on the same log affords the opportunity for a close up of Dexter:

Just to give the idea that rain loomed if it did not fall:

Dexter in recent months has taken to lying down:

When you are on the lead it is not possible to seek adventure:

Unlike the previous day:

This week we will take a different journey to Friday Ark at Modulator and see how it turns out.
